Give it two coats and let it go bone dry , then 50-50 pva and water mix coat over it ( let it go bone dry and give another two coats . Just repeat until enough coats on it . When using pva it’s acts like a barrier to stop sucking all the moisture out of more slip coats ( prevents cracking ). You should be able to pick out words as I put my details on dive weights I cast . Also helps after a few coats to manipulate chicken wire in holes before you coat again and that helps internal plugs stay where they should without breaking away

Man you should make 94-96 impala emblems specially he trunk emblem. They are discontinued and hard to get. You should make them and sell them im sure youl sell out quick
